About University Recommendation Academy

About University Recommendation Academy

University Recommendation Academy was founded on a simple belief: choosing where to study should not be a guessing game. Every year, millions of students make one of the most expensive and consequential decisions of their lives with incomplete information and overwhelming marketing noise. We exist to change that.

Our Mission

We provide independent, evidence-based guidance to help students choose the right university, major, and funding path. Our recommendations are grounded in publicly available data — accreditation records, graduation rates, employment outcomes, and cost analyses — not advertising budgets.

How We Research

Every guide we publish follows a rigorous process:

  1. Source verification — We cross-reference claims against official university websites, government education databases, and accreditation bodies.
  2. Data analysis — We compare costs, outcomes, and requirements across institutions to identify genuine differences that matter.
  3. Peer review — Each guide is reviewed by at least one other researcher before publication.
  4. Regular updates — Requirements, costs, and deadlines change. We revisit our guides at least every six months.

Independence

We are not paid by universities to recommend them. University Recommendation Academy does not accept payment or incentives from educational institutions in exchange for favorable coverage. Our guidance follows the evidence — period.

Who We Serve

Our primary audience is high school students, transfer students, and their families — especially those navigating the university selection process for the first time. We write for people who want clear, actionable information without the sales pitch.
